Stay Happy and Positive!

Posted on the 23 February 2014 by Tasneem Rajkotwala @tasu0704

I’ve been so excited about my blog that ever since my first  post, I’ve been thinking about what to write next!! Weekend has gone by and today is the first day of the week – in the middle east, so I thought of writing and also implying some of these in my life to stay positive, focused and motivated. There are days when I feel energetic and everything looks very happy but there also days when one thing goes wrong and all good things turns out to be gloomy and sad. There are lot of articles, blogs, books, etc and etc which talks about finding happiness and they all give one message – STOP WORRYING! Train your mind to let go of all  negativity and free yourself from all the stress. Read books which will help you. It’s an ongoing process which you will have to do every single day. Stop stressing about things which you can’t control and that is something I am working on too. Don’t allow any stress to enter your life which you don’t need! Ofcourse it isn’t easy to let go and not think about something which isn’t good but it is very important to realize what’s important and what’s not. You will never know people’s thoughts, only thoughts you will ever know are your own. It makes no sense to think about what people think about you because you have no control over that person or their thoughts. This will keep you happy and in turn help you stay positive. It isn’t healthy to think about anything that isn’t in your control because it will only make your mood come down. I always try to make note of all things which I cannot change in my head, take a step back and decide to let it go for once! It has helped me and will surely help you too. Thinking, worrying or driving yourself crazy is unfortunately not going to change anything or do anything good.

Another important thing we need to remember, including myself is to stop being hard on our selves. We all have that image of what we should be our life should be and that is blocking us from experiencing what life really is. I don’t say we should not set goals but try to set goals which are reachable and rational. Instead of finding negativity try to find the glass half full. Think about all things bigger than your problems and you’ll watch your problems slowly disappear.

Never lose hope. Because if you cling to your hope, you’ll always stay positive. Never give up on yourself or your situations. Remember, situations will come and go and make sure you learn something good from every bad situation instead of mulling over them. Always try to find ways to put a positive impact on your life and world.

Do fun things to stay positive. There is an article I found on the internet which talks about writing all good things that happens to you and putting them in a safe place so that when you read them at the end of the year, you’ll be happy to find so many good things that happened to you during that year. You can start this at the beginning of the year by personalizing your own jar or a box by sticking notes which conveys positive messages. So that every time you drop in a piece of paper you come across these positive sayings. And voila! You will also have dozens of happy notes in a jar at the end of the year which will leave you more energetic and motivated. Even though it is the end of february, you can still start doing this now! I am definitely going to do this.

Sending you all positive vibes and loads of good luck for the week ahead!
