The first time I wrote about St. Louis Park's West End was when it first opened in 2009. A gourmet grocery store, a couple shops, a couple restaurants and a luxurious movie theater were about all that were there at that time.
The West End has done a lot of growing up since then, and the January 2015 issue of Minnesota Monthly features it as one of Top Five Neighborhoods in the Metro Area. West End Boulevard is now lined with specialty shops and fine dining... and the complex now also includes a hotel and luxury apartments so you can live where you shop and dine, all minutes from the city lakes and downtown Minneapolis.
The West End has some of the energy of the city... with the convenience and free parking of a suburb. Even Costco and Home Depot are nearby across the street, with a whole other group of bigger box shopping and restaurants.
