Spring Makeup Routine

By Bambileigh

Hey lovelies! I never know how to greet you guys… I wanna say bitches but I always feel that’s too mean. I’ve been using quite a few new products now spring has sprung (ha) so of course here I am over-sharing with you guys again!

Base

We’ll start with base because… well that’s what you start with. If I’ve got any blemishes (which I always do) I’ll dab a little bit of the T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel over them to help try and banish the buggers. I tend to switch between the Look Beauty’s Perk Me Up and the Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur when it comes to primer, but it really comes down to which one I see first! I don’t use primer all over my face; just a little on my chin and on the undereye triangle type… area. And of course I need a little Vaseline on my super chapped lips! I wouldn’t say they’re as much chapped as they are bitten to pieces… I’m a stress nibbler!

If you saw my Populus Live Haul (wink wink nudge nudge) you’ll know that I finally bit the bullet and picked up something from Bourjois! I had a reaction to a mascara ages ago so I’ve steered clear since but I really wanted to give the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum a go, and I’ve been really liking it! After foundation I go in with my concealer palette which is quite similar to a Coastal Scents one from what I can tell. Mine doesn’t have a brand printed on it so I have no idea where it’s from, but it works for me so that’s all that matters! Then I powder my t-zone using Rimmel’s Stay Matte Powder and fill in my brows with Maybelline’s Brow Satin and set them with Maybelline’s Brow Drama… and you can read a review for both of those here ;)

Then I go in with my Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Golden Sugar and use whatever color I fancy that day! Because I’m so pale I can get away with using the bronzier tones on the far right as bronzers, but I haven’t really been too bothered about those lately so I’ve mainly been using the first four shades.

Eyes

Up until a couple of weeks ago I’d been using the above palette for a little bit of subtle eyeshadow but since I recieved the Tartlette palette (find out how I came to get hold of it here) I haven’t put it down! I haven’t used the darker shades all that much as they’re not really appropriate for work but I have been using Bombshell on the outer half of my lower lash line, and I’ve been using a mixture of the others regularly –  Natural Beauty and Wanderer are my favourites.

For mascara I’ve been using my trusty Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara for my top lashes and leaving the bottom ones bare, and then I’ve either been leaving my lips as they are with the Vaseline or I’ve been putting on a little swipe of Rimmel’s 206 Nude Pink lipstick!

I’d love to know what products you’ve been into this season so please leave me your reccomendations below and don’t forget to follow if you’re new!
