I complain unjustly about the number of courses that guys like Pierre Gagnaire shove at you but Daniel Rose is almost as guilty - except his offerings are smaller, less complicated and a bit better.  For example, today's offerings included:
Superb gluten-free bread and butter
Caviar d'aubergines
Potatoes with a gribiche dipping sauce
Melon and ham
Gravlox
Lobster bisque
St Pierre with a beautifully crisp skin served accompanied by a green tomato sauce
A filet of veal in its sauce with Greek olives
Sweetbreads and white peaches
Chocolate and lemon creams
A chocolate tart, and
Strawberries with sorbet.

What a way to celebrate spring!

All in all: a superb meal which with paired wines and the charm of the host and hostess made Spring spring.
