Temple St. Clair is a fine jewelry company that was founded in the mid-Eighties by the designer of the same name, Temple St. Clair Carr. She debuted her first collection on one of the biggest stages in the world, at Barneys New York in 1987. From there she expanded to luxury retailers throughout the United States and was standard amongst those who bought high end, luxury jewelry on a regular basis. There is a classic but modern sensibility to all of the jewelry from Temple St. Clair, with a mix of precious metals and finely colored gemstones. Most pieces are made from distinctive gold works, holding gemstones that are relatively rare.

Their philosophy is to offer high quality fine jewelry and timeless design and are known for their stones and their gold craftsmanship. With seasonal collections premiering in some of the finest stores around the world every fall and spring, there is always something new coming out from Temple St. Clair, as they keep up with new trends and styles while still relying on their timeless designs. Because of this frequency and constant creation of jewelry, Temple St. Clair’s pieces are regularly featured in the top fashion and lifestyle magazines around the world. Their pieces are also sold on three different continents, North America, Europe and Asia. Temple St. Clair attributes much of her design sensibilities to her home town of Florence however, claiming that every object she creates with her company’s name on it carries a little bit of the soul of the artisans around her native town of Florence, where St. Clair really learned her trade.

Her collections consist of bracelets, earrings, engagement rings, necklaces, pendants and rings. By mixing perfect gold craftsmanship and gorgeous gemstones, the bracelets from Temple St. Clair are things that royalty in fantasy novels might wear. Her pieces range drastically in price in well. The 18 karat bubble cuff in faceted aquamarine sells for a whopping $45,000 while the 18 karat halo link bracelet with faceted peridot and diamonds sells for a more moderate $9500. Earrings have the same style as the bracelets, though they feature the gem stones more prominently. For example, 18 karat large flower earring with rose cut blue sapphires retails for around $2850 and the 18 karat classic faceted oval drop earrings with hessonite and diamond go for around $6500. These are a bit more affordable but also just a pair of beautiful earrings rather than a larger heavier cuff or ring.

In fact, the platinum and gold engagement rings are arguably the most affordable pieces of jewelry sold by Temple St. Clair. These classic rings feature diamonds prominently and are relatively simple in their metalwork. However, the rings from Temple St. Clair that mirror the style of her earrings and bracelets are much pricier and more elegant. The 18 karat Arcadia ring with a massive emerald and diamond sells for $45,000 while most other like the bubble ring that features rose cut mixed sapphires and pave diamonds goes for around $6,000. Who says these couldn’t work as engagement rings as well? Regardless of what you decide to purchase from the Temple St. Clair collection, you are guaranteed to get elegant, fine craftsmanship that will always be in style.
