Hi guys. I came home from work to make a little healthy lunch.
Sadly, our fridge/cupboards/pantry are all a little sparse and in need of a good grocery shop but that’s okay because it means I get to get creative in the kitchen!
I really love burger bowls because they’re crazy packed with veggies. Everyone loves burgers, right? Or is that just me??
Anyways, burger bowls are a great way to get all of that burger craving kicked with super duper nutritious power!
- I heated up a southwestern flavored black bean burger
- I heated up some corn… yum!!!
- I chopped up a red onion, a heart of romaine lettuce, and a half of green bell pepper.
- I added in some broccoli slaw of super nutrient power!
- Plopped in a few black olives
- And used some spicy salsa for dressing.
Pretty quick and easy if I do say so myself.
Healthy Guideline Checks:
- eat lots and lots of veggies (double-check!)
- swap bad carbs for good carbs (heck yes, black bean burger)
- 2nd serving of tea.
That is one HUGE bowl. When I say I go all the way with my veggies, I go all the way.
I finished up my lunch break with some green tea.
Ohh, and I’m not supposed to be having sugar. But…
