A couple of days ago I watched Mike Nichols’ Working Girl (1988), thanks to one of the blog’s contributor, Febrian I could see this one. The movie was a delight and quite inspiring, in a simple and tender way, added with a little romance Melanie Griffith and the very handsome Harrison Ford at that time. Griffith wore blazers with shoulder pads, with highly brushed hair, but I imagined at that time her clothes were pretty stylish. But right from the start I heard Carly Simon’s Let The River Run, and it has this motivating and encouraging atmosphere. I did not know at that time that it had won Academy Award for Best Song.

And then I heard Chris DeBurgh’s Lady in Red (this is why I love ’80s flick, I love the simple stories and love songs). I knew that the song often linked to the movie Woman in Red (1984) which I saw a long time ago.

The soundtrack was composed by Rob Mounsey who often composed for film and television, including the famous Sex and The City series. In wikipedia, the man also takes credit for some hit songs; Unfaithful (Rihanna), Crazy For You (Madonna), Against All Odds (Phil Collins). Wow, no wonder I loved the soundtrack, I loved several his songs too before.

Check out the songs below :
