I might not be a fan of the James Bond films, but even I know that for as long as I can remember, the artist providing the theme song to James Bond films has always been a bit of a big deal. Let's face it, some pretty incredible artists have done it, including Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, Nancy Sinatra, Jack White and Alicia Keys.With just over a month to go until the release of Daniel Craig's third outing as England's greatest Secret Agent (c'mon, in the film world, his only real competition is Johnny English....!!), the media has been rife with rumours over who would be doing the theme song, and it has finally been announced that the amazingly talented songstress Adele will be provided the song and the vocals to the coveted theme.
In my opinion, Adele was the only real option for the job. Not only is she a talented and beautiful young lady, she is also incredibly popular with audiences of all ages so she has mass appeal.
I am certainly looking forward to hearing what she has to offer.
Skyfall will be released in the UK on the 26th October 2012.
