Kalsey moves into a the defender spot and starts a new challenge against Ontario’s Small Town Pistols. The Small Town Pistols are made up of Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson, both former members of the country trio “The Wilkinsons” along with their father Steve. After a decade of success (A JUNO Award for Country Duo/Group of the Year in 2001 and 2 Grammy Nominations) with The Wilkinsons (best known for hits like “26 cents”, “Fly (The Angel Song)” and “Jimmy’s Got a Girlfriend”) the group went their separate ways in 2007 shortly after the end of their two-year CMT reality show “The Wilkinsons”. A few years later in 2012, with the initial intent of becoming songwriters pitching songs to groups like Lady Antebellum, Tyler and Amanda reunited and the Small Town Pistols were born. The Small Town Pistol’s returned to the music scene with a self-titled album under 604 Records (owned by Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger). Last January their 2nd single off of their debut album, “Living on the Outside” debuted on the Canadian Top 100. Recently the group celebrated a 2014 JUNO nomination for Country Album of the Year (the JUNO was won by Dean Brody).
Small Town Pistols – Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson
You can catch Tyler and Amanda this summer at the Calabogie Country Music Festival alongside Michelle Wright and Brea Lawrenson. They make their debut on the #SoundOff with their 3rd single “Blame it On the Radio”.
Will Kalsey be able to continue her success up against Canada’s favorite siblings or will Amanda and Tyler become the new defender on Wednesday vs Bobby Wills? You decide! Voting starts NOW and runs until Wednesday April 9 at 5pm EST.
