10.1″ Sony Tablet Xperia Z – waterproof and thinner than iPad Mini

Sony unveiled the Xperia Z smartphone at CES, and this smartphone is probably meant to compete with Apple’s iPhone.

Sony is not really an influential manufacturer on the tablet market, but that could change today with the unveiling of the 10.1″ Tablet Xperia Z. This device is thinner than the iPad Mini, offers 4G LTE support, and is even waterproof. So Tablet Z is announced shortly after the launch of Sony Xperia Z smartphone.

Sony Xperia Z tablet is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, has a 10.1″ Mobile Bravia Engine screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and an 8-megapixel camera. The tablet is incredibly thin and light. It is just 6.9 millimeters thick and weighs 495g. The Tablet Z is thinner and lighter than the iPad and Google Nexus 10.

Other features of the Tablet Z include LTE and NFC support, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, 6000 mAh battery, Android 4.1, microSD.

Sony is now the world’s thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet! Shortly after launch in Japan, we expect that the tablet will be available in Europe. Check out our Sony Tablets, including Sony Xperia Z, and our Sony Tablet accessories we sell at very affordable prices.
