Sony Music Buy EMI Music Publishing $ 2.2 Billion
Sony have recently reported a loss of time and have committed substantial reduction in the number of employees in several divisions. But it does not affect the subsidiary of Sony Music that is. The Sony Music has just spent money of $ 2.2 billion to buy EMI's music publishing business.
The company has the right to access about 3 million songs from famous singers such as Adele, Jay-Z, Frank Sinatra and other singers who are under the flag of EMI. This purchase will be reported to Sony as the world's largest music publisher, but it will not affect the recording company EMI label because it has a different limitation or entity. Sony is in the crisis?
