Sony announced new model of smartphone named Xperia M that will be available on the market from autumn. Xperia M, as a new addition to Xperia family along with the Xperia SP and Xperia L, appears to be a cheaper alternative to Xperia Z.

When it comes to technical features of this new Android smartphone, we can mention a 4-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 854 × 480 pixels, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1GHz, as well as 1GB of RAM and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The phone runs Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sony’s user interface. Other specifications include a 4 GB built-in memory and a micro SD slot that can be expandable up to 64 GB. The replaceable 1750 mAh battery will provide you with up to 498 hours of standby, and approximately 10 hours of talk time. As for connectivity, the Xperia M works with NFC, which joins the usual features such as aGPS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, WiFi.

Sony Xperia M will be released as both, single and dual-SIM version and will be available in black, purple, white and yellow. Both versions will be introduced from the 3rd quarter of 2013 and so far there is no information on prices.
