"Sonia Delaunay: A Conversation Among Friends"

By Objectsnotpaintings
In conjunction with the opening of their exhibition on Sonia Delaunay, the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum will be hosting a talk tomorrow night titled: "Sonia Delaunay: A Conversation Among Friends"
Petra Timmer, design scholar and Delaunay expert, will moderate a discussion between Matteo de Monti and Elaine Lustig Cohen as they recount their personal experiences with Sonia Delaunay and offer unique insight into the life and work of this iconic artist and designer. Matteo de Monti is the grandson of the director of Metz and Co, the Dutch department store that had a long standing collaboration with Delaunay. Elaine Lustig Cohen is a graphic designer and author of The New Art of Color: The Writings of Robert and Sonia Delaunay. Friday, March 18 | 6:30–8:00p.m.
I will be attending the opening of the exhibition tonight and will review the show in the next few weeks.
