CM’s son-in-law Ali Imran sent on 14-day remand

The son-in-law of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif – Ali Imran – has been sent on a 14-day judicial remand by Lahore court on Thursday in the case of torturing a worker at a bakery.

According to some reliable sources, the son-in-law of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif came in the police station on Wednesday to record his statement but he was arrested by the police under Section 109. Today Ali Imran had been presented before the magistrate, who ordered police to take him under custody for two weeks.

According to details, the security officials stabbed a bakery employ in the Defense B area. Just before the arrival of security officials, a woman came into the bakery and asked for a cake. However, after the refusal of employee, the security officials arrived in front of bakery pulled him out. They not only stabbed him but also kidnapped him.

All culprits had been arrested earlier. During the investigations, victim nominated Ali Imran as the responsible of entire incident. Punjab chief minister advised management to also include Ali Imran in the inquiry. After that, Ali Imran came into the police station in his own car to give surrender before police.

In recent past Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry summoned his son Arsalam Iftikhar in court as an accused. Since then Arsalan has appeared in court in graft case filed by property tycoon Malik Riaz.

In another incident Chairman PML-N Mian Nawaz Sharif also show caused his son-in-law Muhammad Safdar over a party discipline issue.
