Some Single Dahlias

By Pattyhankins @PattyHankins

When I think of dahlias – I usually think of a flower with lots of petals in all sorts of wonderful color. Recently, I’ve been seeing another type of flower with a very different look also labeled dahlias. It turns out what I’ve been seeing recently are what are known as Single Dahlias and what I’ve seen in the past are most likely the Decorative and Pom Pom Dahlias.

Single Dahlias have a single ring of petals, which usually overlap near the center. The petals can be rounded or pointed.

Some of the Single Dahlias I’ve seen include
