This random thoughts and things used to be a monthly thing on the blog, but ever since this whole pandemic thing happened- I have been posting random thoughts more often. I guess, it's just my way of keeping myself grounded by venting out my inner emotions to you and also staying connected with as many of you when in-person rendezvous is next to impossible. So if you have anything to share, vent out, go ahead- I'm all ears!
I recently had the chance to do a psychic reading with California Psychics. In this tumultuous times when everything including your mental and psychological state is upended by the pandemic, a little reassurance about your life situations can bring you some calm. I felt so much in control of my life and my surroundings after my twenty minutes with them. I discussed my career, my husband's business, my family, my brother and all who I'm close to and it was such a conscience-booster. Have you ever done a Psychic reading? Ever since the pandemic forced us to change our everyday lives, I have been trying my very best to ensure normalcy and sanity for Riri. I have been calm and patient with her. I've been letting her have things her way so that she doesn't feel overwhelmed with the sudden change of lifestyle, but yesterday I just snapped. It was one of those evenings when I couldn't stand her messy room, her messy closet, her mess all around the house, the backyard and every inch of the dining table. She had to have it from me and I totally feel bad about it. I guess it was my anxiety that needed venting out and it came out in way of my sweetheart getting yelled at.
Before this whole quarantine shindig, I used to look forward to doing nothing over the weekends. The weekly hustle would leave me so tired that I would yearn for lazy weekends. But now, I just pray the weekends are busy cuz honestly there is not really much to do. We are still wary going out and our weekends are pretty much spent at home. Weekdays we have work commitments, but weekends there is nada. So we either take up a home project or I have been accepting more campaign offers that require everyone's involvement. We now shoot over the weekends and it feels stressful.
July was my birthday month and I promised myself the gift of beautiful skin. My skinny was starting to feel dull and more sensitive- blame it all on the covid-stress, work load at home, zero exercising and unhealthy eating. So, I promised to myself that I would take better care of my overall well-being. I have been using a few at home use facial tools and I am totally noticing the difference. Recently I got invited by a local restaurant for patio dining. It was an exciting opportunity as I had been wanting to try out that restaurant for long, but my excitement soon turned into dismay. As a family we are still not ready to venture out. Despite all the precautions that the businesses are taking in response to COVID-19 , we don't feel comfortable. So, we ordered a pickup and I was stoked cuz their Crab rangoon and Chicken parm was amazeballs- totally worth taking the trouble of driving up to the place to pick up our food.
