Some Boot Inspiration

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
How could I possibly have missed the hype on the very popular Chelsea Boots last year? You know the ones, the gorgeous and simple heeled boots from River Island that seemed to take the world by storm. Well here I am, finally getting the memo and having a good trawl online for similar beauties. Unfortunately I'm guessing that the originals are now long gone and have been replaced with a much flatter version (sob sob). Taking inspiration from the new shape, I decided to look for some affordable alternatives and found myself being most drawn to dupes from none other than Tesco and Asda. Here are my findings..
Some boot inspirationL-R: River Island Black Chelsea Boots, Tesco F&F Flat Chelsea Boot, Asda George Black Ankle Boots
The first pair pictured are the current Chelsea Boots available in River Island (or on the website at least) and while they are still very much Chelsea Boots with the signature shape and detail, the suede material just isn't doing it for me and the two tone color scheme isn't really floating my boat either unfortunately. The second pair are from F&F at Tesco and have to be my favourites as they are so simple and would go with just about anything, and at £15 they are a complete bargain! I'm a big fan of F&F footwear in terms of quality and styles available as they always seem to be following trends and offering long lasting replicas at very affordable prices. The final pair are from George at Asda and are again black with the signature elasticated panelling, however this pair also feature some pin dotted detailing along the toe and elasticated area. Of course I'd need to see all 3 pairs in store to make a proper judgment but for now I'll continue the hunt for the perfect pair of Chelsea Boots. Have you come across any great pairs of Chelsea Boots lately?
