We got our current sofas second hand when we first moved into this house which was over 3 years ago now! They are black leather and while we did get them for a bargain, I would love something more modern and not so dark. It is handy having the wipe clean leather though, especially with a toddler and puppy. I have put together a little inspiration of my 'dream sofa' with the help of the Homebase sofa category and shown how I'd accessorise it as well.
I love mixing and matching when it comes to sofas and arm chairs. I love the neutral plain sofa so you can jazz it up with some pattern cushions and a coloured throw, but then I'd have a contrasting striped arm chair or two to add extra seating and a bit more interest to the room. I always love a dark red and either stripes or checks for my living room! I think it gives a nice country look which I personally love.
