Snowflake Art Trading Cards

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
Snowflake Art Trading Cards I think my favorite thing about art trading cards and plastic sleeves, is that they instantly look laminated. Everything looks better when it’s smooth and shiny.
1. Students use liquid watercolor paints on watercolor paper cut to the ATC size: 2.5" x 3.5". Random “blobs” were overlapped just a bit until the cards were filled.
2. While wet, salt is sprinkled on top and allowed to dry for a few minutes. It will absorb the water and make some cool, textured spots. Repeat with 8 more cards.
3. The salt is rubbed off the cards and punched out 3" white snowflakes are glued on top. (My punch came from Michaels). If the flake goes over the edge, it is trimmed off with a scissors. Cards are placed in a plastic trading card sleeve.
