Early on, probably in my late teens, I discovered that wearing a camisole underneath t-shirts, blouses and sweaters helped hide the lumps, bumps and rolls and gave a smoother overall appearance. I was always looking for ways to appear slimmer and neater.
Years later that same idea came in the form of advice from British TV style mavens and original What Not To Wear hosts Trinny and Susannah when they were making over a woman. Susannah lifted up her own top and said "Look, I don't have a smooth tummy and never will - but I look like I do. Always wear a camisole to give the appearance and make your clothes work for you."
Simple advice really. Nothing special, but so, SO true. Yet I see many women who could desperately do with a camisole to fix up and smooth out the lumps and bumps - enter Skinny Tees.
Their motto is "the diet you wear" and like I stated above they help smooth out the lumps and bumps. You know, that back fat that never seems to go away, or the roll under the bra strap. Even "skinny" girls have that!
Their range is varied and I've been wearing their basic tank in metal, which is ideal for us pregnant mamas as it goes right over the belly without riding up and easy to pull down from the top or over the shoulder for nursing.

I also have a pair of their leggings, which I can't wait to wear once the little lady has made her debut.
I found the material to be soft and sturdy and even when pulled, stretched and washed it kept it's shape. I would like to see real before and after images on the website to really point out just how flattering wearing these can be and not just the pretty model you see above.
Another bonus is that while it is shape wear, it is also stylish, can be work on it's own and it's not constricting in the least. You CAN breathe!
Skinny Tees have a have varied selection of shirts, tops, dresses and tanks and an array of colors and patterns to choose from. Prices range from $18 to $46.
