Topshop VectraTruffle velvet slippersTopshop Vectra3My love affair with slipper style loafers started way back in September when I bought the first pair of studded Vectra's which were made of suede, I lived and died in them and as you can see, they are now battered and bruised but I'm sure with a bit of careful TLC I can resuscitate them. The second pair were not a planned buy, I had been on the look out for a pair of plain black shoes that weren't brogues or ballet flats and went with everything from dresses to flats, when I stumbled upon these plain black velvet ones in the same shop I got this dress from and were significantly cheaper than the Topshop version at just £15. I thought that would be just my collection until one night while wearing my Vectra's my feet got wet from where they need resoling. I nearly cried to my boyfriend, telling him they were my favorite shoes and I would never get another pair the same (dramatic, I know). The next day while moping about my shoe sadness, I popped into to Topshop for a quick nose, and then, there the were, flashing and dancing and calling my name. I ran to the other side of the shop to find, ONE pair of Vectra3 left, in a size 4 (my size) I grabbed them and convinced myself it was fate, it was meant to be, the things we tell ourselves to justify buying stuff we don't need. So with the help of my credit card, telling myself payday was next week, I walked to the counter pretty much stroking them. Unfortunately, I have a habit of buying several pair of the same shoe in different colours, so next on my list are these leopard print beauties which are SO cheap and these red velvet ones! Are you in love with the slipper loafer? Do you own any or plan to buy any? I'd love to know!**EDIT** I had Paypal money so just succumbed and purchased the leopard print ones!"believe in yourself"
