Jolie certainly looks the part and displays some nifty magic tricks, summoning the thorned barbs that kept Disney’s narcoleptic princess prisoner. She’s got some other pretty impressive tricks up her sleeve – turning into a dragon, putting people to sleep, deadly accurate with a spinning needle.

So for this much touted Disney movie that could scare a few children, MAC is adding onto their impressive repertoire a new limited-edition range to talk up Maleficent. The buffet of new ‘Maleficent’ beauty items will include 11 face, eye, lip and nail products, coming to beauty shelves May 2014.

The iconic label has dedicated an entire color collection to the evil queen of “Maleficent”Jolie appears as a truly sinister witch, with perfectly arched eyebrows, piercing bright green eyes and blood-red lips.

But this isn’t the first time that MAC had previously used “Maleficent” as their muse. The company released a “Venomous Villain” collection in fall 2010 inspired by four characters: Cruella de Vil, “Snow White’s” Evil Queen, “The Princess and the Frog’s” De Falicier, and  ”Sleeping Beauty’s” Maleficent.

We can already guess that doing a second “Maleficent” range must mean MAC’s first one was super-successful. This time around, the collection is focused on dark, dramatic and eye-catching colors that mix glam with goth.

The assortment will have its global debut next summer, according to the brand’s Facebook page. We hear the range will coincide with the film, arriving in theaters on May 30, 2014. MAC summed up the new product line in a few striking words: “Being bad never looked so good.”

The actress got a standing ovation when she walked out to debut the first footage from “Maleficent,” which tells the “Sleeping Beauty” story from the witch’s perspective.

The video we saw showed the title character crashing Aurora’s christening, as in the original cartoon. Jolie, dressed in black and sporting Maleficent trademark horns, looks the part and sounds deliciously evil as she curses the infant … green flames shooting out behind her.

We even got a sneak peek at Jolie’s daughter Vivienne playing child-sized Aurora, running through a meadow as Maleficent watches from afar. The audience was then treated to a glimpse of Elle Fanning’s princess touching the deadly spindle as Jolie lets out a sinister cackle. The footage definitely looked impressive and Jolie’s performance guarantees this movie will be a hit as will MAC Cosmetics limited edition for Maleficent.
