After getting into the world of beauty blogging I have definitely seen myself get more and more drawn to blushers, with my stash containing quite a varied collection of blush shades now. As if I didn't have enough blusher in my life already, I instantly fell in love with this newer release from Sleek's Limited Edition Candy Collection. The Sleek Blush By 3 Palettes have seen so many good reviews in the blogging world and after getting a good look at the new shades from the candy collection, I knew the Sweet Cheeks Blush By 3 just had to be mine.
This blusher palette contains 3 candy inspired shades (Cupcake, Dolly Mix & Candy Floss) and what's even better is that it also includes a cream blusher as opposed to 3 powder formulations which is a lovely change. This really makes the palette perfect for on the go as you've got a good selection of blushers depending on what kind of mood you're in, and the cream blusher is also fab for applying with your fingers if you're in a rush or don't have access to a blush brush.
I need to mention the packaging of this product as it's just so cute. So much so that I've had to keep a hold of the box as I love the pretty design too much to get rid of it. The palette comes in the standard Blush By 3 black packaging with the 3 pans and a good sized mirror inside which is another bonus for makeup on the go. I know I keep going on about how handy and travel friendly the packaging and blusher selection is but it's perfect for me right now as I plan on taking this palette with me on holiday in a few weeks time.
Swatches L-R: Cupcake, Dolly Mix, Candy Floss
As you can see, the 3 shades in the blush palette are gorgeous candy inspired pink colours that I've been able to get so much wear out of already. The first shade in the palette, Cupcake, is the cream formulation and leaves your cheeks with a pretty flush of hot pink, although you can also build the color up to give you a more noticeable bright pink finish. Dolly Mix is such a pretty dusty pink shade that is also matte which makes it perfect for giving your cheeks a really natural looking flush of pink. The final shade, Candy Floss, is a lovely bright pink shade which also has a hint of red to it. This is a lot more noticable on the cheeks than Dolly Mix is and it also has a pretty sheen running through it which really brightens up your face
All 3 shades are so pigmented which is really impressive for an affordable brand such as Sleek, with one quick swipe of product on the brush being enough to give your cheeks a lovely pop of color. I can really see this palette lasting a long long time as you hardly need to use any product and what's also great is that the wear time of each shade really impressed me too. Although these colours are more suited to the summer weather, I can also see them getting a lot of use all year round which makes this palette perfect for everyday wear no matter what season it is.
You can still pick up the limited edition Sweet Cheeks Blush By 3 Palette in Superdrug (in selected stores and on their website) and also on the Sleek website. The palette costs £9.99 (or £10 on the Sleek website for some reason) which may seem like a fair bit of money at first, but when you consider that you're getting 3 gorgeous and great quality blusher shades it's a purchase I'd highly recommend that you make!
