Sleek Review

By Bethtinkerbell @TinksLostGirls

I was only introduced to Sleek in the summer, I had seen the brand and products floating about on some of the blogs I read but I’d never tried them for myself, or even swatched them in store! During the summer I took the plunge and picked up a trio of their blushers and Face Form.

You may remember me sharing that i’d bought the blusher with you, it was in the haul of products I bought from my day in Leeds in July, however it is now time to bring you my thoughts on it! I’ve had plenty of use out of the blusher and Face Form over the past couple of months.

I’ll start with the blusher, I picked up Blush By 3 in the shade Lace which has more peach/orange toned blushers which were ideal to use throughout the summer.

I like the packaging, it is eye catching and yet still quite simple.

The compact of the blusher is very simple in black plastic with the Sleek logo. When you turn the packaging over you will also find a list of ingredients along with the name of the palette, and individual names of the blushers.

When you open up the compact you will find 3 blushers inside, along with a large mirror. I find the blushers great for building up colour, however the one on the right Crochet needs a light hand as it is very pigmented. The blusher in the middle Guipure has a light shimmer running through it, and is a lovely rose pink color which is perfect for the summer. Chantilly on the left is a peach blusher and is the one I have loved most, I like to build up the color on my cheeks and then I will add Guipure over the top to add a little shimmer.

Next we are moving onto Face Form in shade Fair which is Sleeks contour kit and blusher palette. I bought this because I wanted to give contouring a go, but also because I wanted the Sleek Rose Gold blusher and combining the two seemed ideal.

Again the packaging is still simple but eye catching, your eyes are drawn to it on the shelf but it isn’t garish packaging which will make you think twice about purchasing.

Again the packaging of the compact is the same as that for the blusher and has the Sleek logo, on the back of this palette it lists the ingredients for all three different products.

Face Form contains a bronzer, highlighter, and blusher. The bronzer is very pale in color which makes it ideal for those of us with fair skin, you can keep it light or build it up for a stronger color. I find the highlighter to be very easy to use, I only use a very small amount across the tops of my cheeks and I can see a lovely light reflecting shimmer. We then move onto the Rose Gold blusher, I prefer this to the Guipure blusher in the Blush By  palette, simply because it is a darker pink. I find that the shimmer running through them both is very similar, and just helps to give a glowing complexion rather than a cheek that looks like a disco ball!

Both the Blush By 3 and Face Form palettes are £9.99, I bought both of mine from Superdrug but they are also available on the Sleek website.

Have you tried either of these products from Sleek, which other products would you recommend?
