Sleek Blush in Rose Gold

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
This was a very recent blog sale purchase and I'm so glad I decided to buy it as I have fallen in love with it. A few of you have commented to say that this has been a difficult blush to track down in Superdrug stores so if anybody else is interested in it then I really hope you can get your hands on it as it is such a gorgeous color. Believe it or not this is my first ever Sleek purchase so I'll start off with my thoughts on the packaging. I really like the style of this packaging as it is a very compact size while still providing an impressive 8g worth of prouct, a perfect fit in the palm of my hand to give you a better idea of the size. The plastic material of the case is sturdy enough without looking cheap or bulky and while I suspect that this material will be prone to attracting dust and other make-up mess it doesn't bother me too much as it's nothing a quick wipe won't fix.

Now on to the actual blush. My first impression of the blush color was just WOW. As someone who doesn't own nor has swatched NARS Orgasm I can't really comment on the similarities between the two but judging by other swatches and comparisons online they do look very similar. Rose Gold is as the name suggests, a rose color with a lovely gold shimmer throughout. The pigmentation of this blush is very impressive and the smallest swipe provides a healthy glow to the cheeks, but of course this means that it can be fairly easy to go overboard so you would need to be careful. It was hard to capture the full extent of the gold shimmer and my camera definitely doesn't do it justice from my swatch but hopefully the product in the pan can give you a better idea of the finish of the blush.
All in all I am so happy that I dabbled in Sleek and when something as gorgeous as this comes along in a blog sale you really can't say no. After having a look on both the Superdrug and Sleek websites it appears that Rose Gold is unfortunately no longer available however I'm not sure if it has been completely discontinued or if Sleek are just in the process of waiting for more stock. If all else fails, eBay may be your next port of call with prices starting at around £4.30.
