Good morning! I hope you are all keeping safe and well? Covid seems to be spreading like wildfire and as the virus doesn’t spread itself, it’s people who are spreading it. No matter how careful we are, it still appears to find a way to infect us. My brother went into hospital mid-December and has contracted Covid while in there, testing positive on Monday, fortunately at the moment he is not showing any symptoms but it’s a big worry all the same.
Anyway, on to more cheerful things. Despite waking this morning with a white cover of frost, there is life in the garden which is heartening. Here are my Six on Saturday, no words needs, just enjoy the harbinger of spring.
1. Skimmia Japonica
2. Spotted Laurel (Aucuba Japonica)
3. Viburnum Tinus
4. Hyacinth – variety unknown, save I know its white.
5. Loropetalum Chinese Witch Hazel ‘EverRed’
6. Heuchera ‘Marmalade’
Thank you to The Propagator for hosting this weekly meme, which at this time is a challenge but makes you really look at the garden to see that life continues despite everything. Please visit his blog and peek at what the other contributors have found for their Six on Saturday. Meanwhile, take care, stay safe.
