Ingredients:
6 cups flour1 pack active dry yeast1 lb cube pork loin or chicken thighs1 cup white sugar2 teaspoons of cooking oil1 cup lukewarm water1/2 cup boiling water2 green onions4 teaspoons lite soy sauce4 teaspoon brown sugar4 teaspoon oyster sauce1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tablespoon water2 cloves garlic2 teaspoon of salt6 tablespoon baking powder
Procedure:
- Mix the flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
- In another bowl dissolve yeast in lukewarm water then add 1 cup of flour mixture. Mix thoroughly.
- Cover with cloth and let rise for one hour.
- Dissolve the white sugar in boiling water.
- Stir well then let it cool to lukewarm.
- Pour into the yeast mixture, then add the rest of the flour mixture.
- Stir to blend well.
- Grease a large bowl
- Turn the dough out into a floured board and bread for 3 minutes. (smooth dough)
- Place the ball into bowl, turn once and cover with a damp cloth.
- Let rise for 2 hours or until doubled.
- Meanwhile saute the garlic and onion.
- Add the meat, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar.
- Pour the dissolved cornstarch and stir fry until the meat is no longer pinkish.
- Punch down dough and bread in a floured board for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Divide dough and roll each half into 12x2 inch long. Cut into 12 pcs making 24.
- Steam for 20 minutes.
