Well-known Bollywood playback singer and vocalist, Shweta Pandit marks her foray into acting with Bejoy Nambiar’s action film DAVID, in which she portrays the role of a chawl girl.
Shweta is the daughter of Vishwaraj Pandit, a Classical Tabla Player and a Music Director of 1970s.
In an interview, she said: “My character in ‘DAVID’ is called Alice and I play a Mumbai chawl girl in the film. She is a brat and tomboyish. She is loved by everyone in the family.”
The singer, who debuts as an actor in Bejoy Nambiar’s ‘DAVID’ said: “It was like going to a big institution of film and learning everything possible under the roof while working at it. I don’t think I would have got anything better than this as an actor.”
DAVID is an upcoming action-thriller film directed by Bejoy Nambiar. He has produced the film along with Sharada Trilok.
The movie stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Vikram, Vinay Virmani, Tabu, Lara Dutta, Remo Fernandes, Shweta Pandit, Saurabh Shukla, Satish Kaushik, Isha Sharvani and many more.
DAVID is scheduled to hit theatres on February 1st, 2013.
