Travelling is a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and most importantly, it's a way for us to be together as a family. However, traveling with a toddler is definitely going to be a different ball game.
As much fun as you have in your travels, there will always be some challenges along the way. If you are currently planning your next trip with your toddler or if this is your first time traveling overseas with your toddler, read on for some tips for traveling with toddler.
How long does it take from Singapore to Genting via coach?
For our first 3 Days 2 Night Genting Highlands trip with Baby See, we picked Genting Highlands as our choice of destination since its only 6.5 hours away from Singapore via coach. As a first time mom, the first thing I had on my mind even before we got the coach tickets and made the hotel booking was what to pack when traveling with my toddler? What suits him best for the 6.5 hour coach ride? How many clothes should I pack? Should I bring UHT fresh milk or just formula milk? Should I bring his stroller and/or baby carrier?
So, let's get started.
When traveling with a toddler, here are the things I packed -
What to pack when traveling with a toddler
🗸 UHT fresh milk🗸 Formula milk powder (I packed them in formula milk powder bags for convenience)🗸 Milk bottle or cup🗸 Diapers (I packed extra cuz you never know what will happen)🗸 Clothes (I packed extra too just in case)🗸 Socks 🗸 Medicine (Very important even though he is not sick cuz you never know what will happen)🗸 His supplements (Vitamin C & probiotics)🗸 Bib🗸 Bowl
🗸 Utensils🗸 Water bottle🗸 Baby wipes
🗸 Tissues🗸 Color pencils🗸 Drawing block or notebook🗸 Baby Mosquito repellent🗸 Baby sanitizer
🗸 His pillow
🗸 His bolster
🗸 His blanket 🗸 His towel🗸 Travel kettle
🗸 Portable cooker (This is optional but its good just in case he isn’t used to outside food)
Travelling with Baby See was definitely a new experience. Lucky for us, he was an angel on the coach.

WTS TravelCoach tickets SGD80 per pax (round trip)He love our family room with three double beds at Genting SkyWorlds hotel, called the sixers room. I booked it specially for the loft bed knowing that Baby See will like it. And true enough, he did!
Genting SkyWorlds Hotel review
The first thing I noticed about Genting SkyWorlds Hotel was how family-friendly it is. It has a playground in the lobby which Baby See loves. The self check in process was smooth and we could do an early check in by paying just RM11.

Location ★★★★★
Cleanliness ★★★★☆Service ★★★★☆Value ★★★★★
In terms of location, its very convenient as its right opposite Genting SkyWorlds theme park and a 7 minute walk to Sky Avenue mall where all the F&B places and retail shops are, and a 5 minute walk to Transtar Express bus station.
As a no-frills hotel, in terms of service when we were checking in, the staff was helpful in explaining the self check in process. Cleanliness wise was okay except that the toilet bowl had a bit of odour but nothing a bottle of Dettol that I got from Hilltop Grocer can't fix.
The only gripe that we have is that because the bathroom is really small and its hard to change inside. You could change outside the bathroom but do note that there isn't another door that separates both the bathroom and toilet from the rest of the room.
