Shower with Me + Mini Review

By Bambileigh

I decided to go with the creepy title this time. Not too weird is it? I feel we’re close enough now.
You may remember that I did a post like this back in December, where I shared what I was currently using in the shower. I’ve been using all new (to me) products lately and I’ve been absolutely loving them. Therefore I thought it’s only right that I share with you! You can find aforementioned post here.

Lets jump right in shall we!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and Conditioner – The Sleek RestorerOooooh I’m really in love with this. It smells so good, I can’t even tell you… well, I can – it smells like coconut oil and shea butter… because that’s what’s in it.
Aside from smelling heavenly, it washes your hair too. Rather well I might add. It also does a really good job of taming all those pesky frizzies! What more could you want from shampoo and conditioner?!
I’ve never been one for buying the same hair washing products over and over again; I always switch things up when I finish a bottle, but I’ve bought this three times in a row so far! My hair feels so soft after I’ve used this, and I swear it’s grown a bit more than usual too!

Lee Stafford Treatment for Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length
However, I will admit that this bad boy is most likely the reason for my accelerated hair growth. I’m sure that the Garnier products had a hand in it though. If you want to read a bit more about it you can see December’s post – but now I know it definitely works!

Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Wash
You can’t beat Soap & Glory! I got one of their gift boxes for Christmas again this year so I’ve been working my way through the products. Last year I had the lime scented wash and I think I prefer this one a little more. I’m not big on citrus scents but I’m quite fond of this! It lasts ages to as the bottles so big and you only need a few pumps per shower.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub
THIS SMELLS SO GOOD. If you hadn’t guessed already, I base the products that I use largely on what they smell like. This smells similar to the lime body wash that I just mentioned but I don’t think it’s as strong. It obviously has sugar in it so maybe that helps to diffuse the citrus a bit? Whatever the case, it’s good. I don’t use this every time I shower but usually I’ll have a quick scrub about once a week, or a few days before I’m planning to fake tan.

Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter
I use this when I get out of the shower to remove all the makeup that I’ve managed to smear all over my face. Why I don’t take my makeup off before I get in I have no idea. I’m not sure if it’s meant to remove makeup, meant to be used as a stand alone cleanser or both… I like it either way. And it does an awesome job of removing eyeliner and mascara!

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter/St Tropez Tan Optimiser
After I’ve done all of that I’ll go ahead and moisturise – if I remember. If my skins still a bit damp by the time I’ve cleansed my face I’ll use the S&G one, but if I’m dry I’ll go with the St Tropez one. I’ve never bought into St Tropez but I was in a discount store the other week and spotted it for a couple of quid so thought I’d give it a go!

Nkd Skin Tinted Tan Mousse in Dark and Tanning Mitt
As summer creeps closer I don’t think there’s many of us that can honestly say that we aren’t concerned about the shade of white our legs have turned over the winter months. I’ve been using this Nkd one for a couple of months now and it’s not too bad – it doesn’t have that green tint that St Moriz sometimes has, but I don’t think this lasts on the skin as long. I can’t say that I wouldn’t buy it again though, it’s alright for the price.
And the mitt I use is just one of the double sided ones that you can find in the pound shop. As long as you rinse it after every use it lasts ages! You just need to make sure you wear gloves underneath as the product does sink through… that wasn’t fun when I first realised.

Velvotan Self Tan Folding Back Applicator
This is the thing I wanted to give you guys a mini review on. And when I say mini review, I mean I’m going to tell you not to waste your money on it.
I got this thing from Feel Unique after what seemed like months of waiting for it to come back in stock and I’m so disappointed with it! It meant to make applying fake tan to hard to reach areas super simple. It doesn’t. It left my tan streaky and uneven. It also left me covered in scratch marks where this thing is so sharp! The little padded bit isn’t really padded at all and you can see in the picture that it doesn’t go all the way to the edges, so you just end up scratching yourself to pieces! Maybe if it was bigger it’d be easier, but as it is it’s shit not worth the money at all.

I love reading and writing posts like this so I hope you’ve enjoyed it!
If you haven’t noticed by now, my posting schedule is 10am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays… and now you’ve probably noticed that it’s gone 10am – sorry! I was trying to finish this post last night but I was just way too tired. It’s my day off today so I thought if I stared writing at 9:20 I’d be able to post on time but it took longer than anticipated!
Well, it’s up now and that’s all that matters – RIGHT?! At least it’s up on the right day!
