Walking around the streets of Shillong, I noticed that one common thing which almost every person did was smoke. Inspite of public smoking being banned by the law, yet people of all ages and all working classes, just cannot accept it. And apparently, it seems that even the law has given up on itself unable to stop people from the “killing habit”.
“Acting for me is not a bad habit like smoking
that I must make an effort to quit.
I love acting; I love directing.”

“Asthma doesn’t seem to bother me any more unless
I’m around cigars or dogs.
The thing that would bother me most would be
a dog smoking a cigar.”
~ Steve Allen
“Get me well so I can get on television and tell people to stop smoking.”
~ Nat King Cole
“Smoking helps you lose weight – one lung at a time!”
~ Alfred E. Neuman (Mad Magazine)
“Yes, social friend, I love thee well,
In learned doctor’s spite;
Thy clouds all other clouds dispel
And lap me in delight.”
~ Charles Sprague (To My Cigar)
