Accepting the appeal against rejection of his nomination papers, the Election Tribunal on Wednesday allowed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sheikh Waqas Akram to contest upcoming general elections from NA-89, Jhang.
A returning officer had earlier rejected former federal minister’s candidacy due to fake degree. After his disqualification, the PML-N had decided to give ticket to his father Sheikh Akram for NA-89.
