Sheikh Rasheed’s Candidacy Accepted for NA-55

Sheikh Rasheed AhmedRejected the objections over Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, a Returning Officer on Sunday accepted his nomination papers from NA-55 constituency of Rawalpindi.

A citizen Habib Wahab al Khari had submitted objections that the chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) had security married with a Pakistani-origin British woman Shehnaz in 1996 in Birmingham but has shown himself as bachelor in the nomination papers.

Returning Officer Kalimullah dismissed the objection and remarked that the his nomination papers were completely scrutinized from April 2-6, three times he appeared in person and no such objection was raised during this period.

Returning officer asked the applicant that whether it wasn’t clear that from which constituency Sheikh Rasheed will contest election because the objection was submitted too late.
