Shed Sweet Shed

By Charlottsgarden @charlottsgarden

What a birthday present we got this year! A brand new 6 x 4 pent roof shed. Along with it we got given a lovely shed starter pack which included a pad lock, mugs, champagne flutes and a bottle of bubbly for our ‘Shed Warming’.
I won’t be using the shed for storing my tools in but as a sheltered spot for our beagle who come to the allotment with me (lucky Beagle) and to enjoy a nice cup of tea etc..
I picked a nice dark green paint for the outside but am waiting for a few dry days before I can swing a paint bush. In the meantime I started with the inside.

I gave it a coat of white paint to lighten it up, put up a simple shelf and made some curtains (Laura Ashley had a sale on and I couldn’t resist buying a meter of this lovely fabric called Heligan). Now all I needed was something to sit on!
I didn’t really want to buy anything and we had quite a few scraps of wood lurking around so I decided to cobble something together made a three legged stool and a small box for storing mugs and other bits and bobs in. I’ll be collecting more scrap wood to make another stool or maybe a even a small bench.
