I attended Sheckys Girls Night Out for the first time last week with my sister in tow. It’s an after work event held at Union Stations Grand Hall twice a year normally during the Spring & Fall. They also have this event in other cities like New York, Houston, & Charlotte. First of all, who can resist an event with free liquor, shopping, and a great goody bag filled with lots of free products.
I purchased tickets for this event and they cost me $15.00 per ticket under an early purchase special. General admission with the goody bag is normally $30.00 and without the goody bag it’s $15.00. Overall, it’s was a nice event and I tasted some of the best drinks ever. I had the best glass of Shiraz from a wine company called Jam Jar. I had a drink called strawberries & crème which was sooooooo good and a cranberry cocktail from one of their sponsors Cointreau. Yes, Shauntee had a nice little buzz after walking out of there.
I enjoyed viewing the merchandise offered by the vendors which consisted of jewelry, cosmetics, accessories, and bath products. I purchased a pair of simply beautiful earrings from a company called my simply gorgeous. I purchased passion fruit natural bath soap from a company called Jaguar Luxury which I have already used and my skin was super soft and smooth when I got out the shower. I also purchased a Lotus Blossom bath bar from a company called The Fifth & Madison Collection and it has to be the best smelling soap I own thus far. I also bought my favorite motivational cards from PUMP Greetings. The free goody bag consisted of everyday products to keep me fabulous. The bag included products from The Body Shop, Aveeno, Dial, Goody, & Loreal. They also included waxing strips from Veet which came right on time because my little mustache had started growing out…so good looking out!
Now here’s my only complaint, I collected business cards from all the vendors because I wanted to of course look for new products to recommend to you and also purchase some more items for myself. I learned this week that most of the vendors have non working websites. Exactly, How am I suppose to continue giving you business if your site is not working… who is your PR person …hmmmmm maybe I should call the numbers and offer my PR services because in todays world if you don’t have anything else you should at least have a website. Nonetheless, I had a fabulous time and would definitely attend again.
