SHAUNEY "SHAUNEYBABY" RECKE
ShauneyBaby Recke

I recently moved back to California from Florida and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. I'm not sure why I stopped blogging for so long either, but mow I'v come that it's quite relaxing and fun! I am extremely expressive and LA is the one of the rarest places that you can be yourself!
As most know, I've been wanting to be an Artist/Talent Manager for a while. I've even been writing and singing songs since the age of 7. Being in the entertainment industry for this short while, I've quickly learned many of its up and downs - but I've also learned that there's so many wonderful aspects of this industry that I'd like to get my hands into.  But I LOVE what I do it none the less (that's another post!). It's hard enough to even get your foot in the door -  it's all about who you know! But I LUCKED OUT! This is why I feel blessed to have found Shauney and her husband Andre Recke to work for. Not only are they an amazing talented team (Andre is an artist manager), they are both still extremely active, respected, and well-liked within the industry.
I saw an appellation online for a music management internship. Long story short I loved the way the company was strutted, and was one of two interns hired. I work closely with Andre's wife, Shauney Recke. She is this BAD ASS established, and empowering female drummer. Ever since being back here I and more and MORE understanding why people I know in Florida are desperately trying to move to Los Angeles  for a chance to make it into the entertainment industry. There are literally more opportunities than the right people actually hustling enough to go out and get them!
Shauney and Andre have both been there when I needed them. They are helpful, truthful. experienced, and have amazing MORALS! This industry is very dog eat dog and I know I'm blessed to with be able to work with an established musician and music executive (who are both multi-talted in many ways).
Shauney Recke, known to many as Shauney Baby, has been working in the entertainment industry for many years and is one of the most celebrated female drummers both nationally and internationally.  Born in Washington D.C., Shauney was exposed to music at a very young age as her father was one of the founding members of the “Delfonics,” the popular 1970’s R&B group whose hits included “La La (Means I Love You),” and “Didn’t I.” While her musical talent was inspired by her father, Shauney’s mother, a nurse, has been her guiding light and rock throughout her entire career.  Soon after graduating from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts with a concentration in voice and percussion, Shauney embarked on what would soon become a successful music career as the “drummer of choice” for some of the world’s top talent.  Professional highlights include Sting “Ellen DeGeneres show” Blacked Eyed Peas front man, Will.I.Am; the house-band drummer on FOX TV’s Keenan  Ivory Wayans Show; Natalia Kills, Robin Thicke, PCD’s Nicole Scherzinger, Paulina Rubio, and Hilary Duff to name a few. Shauney is also featured in SticksnSkins, a book profiling world-renowned drummers.
In 2010 Shauney "ShauneyBaby" Recke founded DRUM FOR GOODNESS SAKE which is an effective innovative program that contributes to healthy living by encouraging activity as a form of exercise through drumming! Anther blog post about the program will be coming soon but you can follow them now on Twitter @DGSLA! For more information on the program, feel free to email [email protected],
In addition to her successful musical career, Shauney is well known both in her professional and personal career to be a woman of unwavering integrity with an infectious smile and the kind of beauty that resonates from the inside out. She is happily married to executive producer and manger Andre Recke, who shares her passion for the two most compelling aspects in her life: entertainment and philanthropy.
Shauney is currently on tour performing with Taylor Mathews as he opens up for Hollywood Records' R5. Keep up with what's going on and more by following her blog, onthroadwithshauneybaby.blogspot.com. You can also follow Shauney on Twitter @Shauney_Baby
