Medical board constituted on ordered of Sindh High Court to determine the age of Shahrukh Jatoi has prepared its report and sealed it. Sealed report will be presented in the court on Monday February 11, 2013. Apart from physically examining Shahrukh, Medical board had a look at his educational and birth certicated as well.
According to available details Shahrukh Jatoi is 19 years of age and his his date of birth on his educational documents is November 27, 1993. Medical Board consisted of 3 radiologists, 2 forensic experts and a dentist.
Shahrukh Jatoi is main accused in cold blooded murder of Shahzeb Khan on December 27, 2012. Shahzeb Khan, a famous university student was shot multiple times by Jatoi while driving his car along with his accompalices. Shahzeb had a brawl with one of his (Jatoi’s) servants over cat calling his sister. Murder of a young man recieved a little or no attention by police unless highlighted by Social media. Supreme Court of Pakistan took sue moto notice of the case to make otherwise dead case alive again.
Snubbed by Supreme Court of Pakistan, police officials initiated some serious efforts to arrest the accused. They arrested Siraj Talpur and his brother but failed to nab jatoi. His influential father arranged to get him out of Pakistan without passing through the immigration system to mislead investigations. He further announced that Shahrukh Jatoi left Pakistan for Australia on 25th December but could not prove it.
Law enforcement officials prssurised by Supreme Court of Pakistan continued their search to trace him and finally they found him in Dubai. Finally he was arrested in Dubai and deported to Pakistan where witnesses identified him as the man who fired at Shahzeb Khan.
To take advantage of the law, his family maintained that Shahrukh Jatoi is not an adult so he should be tried as a Juvenile. Family once again failed to produce any documentary evidence maintaining that he was born under traditional village system so no medical record of his birth exists. This led to the constituion of a medical board to determine his exact age
