We conclude with the End Times story arc of Shadowman. Jack Boniface was in search for his father in the voodoo lands and is now face to face with the man who has destroyed his life. What Jack does when he is given the chance to fulfill his wish of seeks ng vengeance on his father turns out to be more than he thought would happen. Jack brought back Darque to help him find his father and Darque did just that. Jack got what he wanted plus some. The big question that the book and series leaves me with is “Was it worth it?”
It was a short arc but the story was thorough enough. This was my first Shadowman experience and he seems like he can cause some trouble for some people. I am not a huge fan of the witchcraft and voodoo involved with the story. Understanding now that it is what makes Shadowman who he is. This story can probably relate to some people as Jack is left fatherless and inherited problems from a man no longer in his life. Nobody likes to be hurt and most of us might want to seek revenge on others but at what cost is it all worth it? Did Jack come ahead after the choices he made? You tell me.
