Shades of Orange Tulips

By Pattyhankins @PattyHankins

I’ve only editing a few of my tulip photos from this spring. I took so many tulip photos that it’s going to take me a while to sort through them and decide which ones will be edited and shared. So rather than waiting until I’ve done all the sorting and editing – I decided I’d start sharing some of them – and as I get other edited – I’ll post them here on my blog.

I photographed a wonderful set of orange tulips at Green Spring Gardens this year. They were blooming in the woods among the trees – rather than in one of the garden beds. I loved the way they looked among the trees – hope you do as well.

I also found a few of the same orange tulips mixed in with some purple columbine.

At Brookside Gardens I found some wonderful orange tulips in some planters at the beginning of tulip season. The way they were planted gave me some great opportunities for some close up photos of the petals – resulting in somewhat abstract photos.
