In this issue of Sex Criminals, Jon and Suzie kind of get their own separate stories. The first half we get Suzie talking about how she feels on the pill and runs into her old friend Rach again. She open up to her about “The Quiet” and Rach somewhat brushes it off as a joke. Not much later, Rach wants Suzie to prove it to her and she does just that. Jon busts into the apartment and we bounce over to his story. HOLY INTERNAL MONOLOGUE, BATMAN! We get about 11 pages worth of storytelling with as so much as 3 short dialog balloons. Lots is told about Jon’s past and what he did in “Cumworld”. Then things get real. He decides to break into Kegelface’s house. This comes with some repercussions that we should see exactly what happens next issue. We can say that they are not as alone as they think they are.
I really love this title as it is like nothing else I read. The storytelling is great and the way it goes from internal monolog to direct dialog to the character talking to us the readers is wonderful. Now with the information that was brought up at the end of this chapter, who knows where this storyline will go. The way this title has been so far, I will not leave it past Fraction to throw us something off the wall. Fighting with a Darth Maul looking lightsaber made out of dildo’s was enough for this one book.
