Bashir Bilour injured in Peshawar blast

At least seven people were killed and 18 including senior Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour Khyber Pakhtunkhwa injured in a suicide blast in Peshawar on Saturday.

Bilour’s personal secretary Noor Mohammad and SHO Kabuli Police Station Sattar Khan were among the dead.

The blast took place at the house of a local Awami National Party (ANP) leader in Qissa Khawani Bazaar where a party workers meeting, under the headship of Bashir Bilour, had taken place

The intensity of blast was as much that it was heard in the entire city. Several nearby buildings, shops and vehicles were also damaged as a result of blast.

Banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to hospital sources Bilour is currently in critical condition in the operation theater.

The police and law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and the launched the investigations.

The rescue teams rushed the injured to the Lady Reading Hospital, where some people are said to be in critical condition and the death toll is feared to climb.
