Screen Gems has released the second trailer for the action-adventure-fantasy film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. The film is based on Cassandra Clare’s book of the same name and is directed by Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid, The Pink Panther 2). It is scripted by I. Marlene King and Jessica Postigo, produced by Don Carmody and Robert Kulzer and music is given by Danny Elfman.
The star casts include Lily Collins, Robert Sheehan, Jamie Campbell Bower, Lena Headey, Kevin Zegers, Kevin Durand, Godfrey Gao, Jemima West and CCH Pounder.
Screen Gems will release The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in theatres on August 23rd, 2013.

Plot:
Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Played by Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Played by Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
