After hearing a tiny snippet of this track about a year ago, at the end of the video for labelmate Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” we finally hear the whole thing in all its glory. With an accompanying video that shows Q in an island paradise with a bunch of beautiful women, the songs lyrics are stuffed full of images of excess, debauchery and general Dionysian bliss. With a beat that heavily samples the Chromatics’ Cherry, from the Italians Do It Better compilation, After Dark 2, the production, handled by Nez and Rio, matches quid pro quo the exuberance of the hook. ScHoolboy Q’s OXYMORON will be released February 25th, 2014.
