But how do these travel bloggers have a wedding? Well, one part classy and one part goofy - that's how; and our photos came back reflecting a little bit of everything, just like us! Between fighting off family requests for digital copies, rolled canvas prints, and other formats for display, we've actually had quite a bit of trouble getting the time to sit down and post these all for you! So we invite you to sit back and be guests at our wedding, one photo at a time.
The first part of our day was a first look feature that was just for Angie and myself. We met at a local park where she "surprised" me from behind and I got my first peak at the dress I waited almost a year to see. In the previous year, we had many hurdles that came up with the effort of planning the wedding ourselves. Even just a few days before we were still thinking the entire thing could be a disaster and were contemplating running off for a last minute destination wedding. One look at Angie, and I knew the day would go perfectly.

Yep, it was pretty fabulous. But our time with the photographer was precious so we only got the very formal shots out of the way and hurried back to the church to meet the bridal party for more photos.

We actually got back to the church a bit later than we intended, but still had plenty of time to walk along a nearby trail with the bridal party for some serious, but mostly goofy photos of us acting in the way we do best.

Luckily, we also stumbled on some great graffiti that I swear I did not put up the night before. Upon retrospect, a little of love inspired graffiti was a great idea, so we're happy to support whoever broke the half-dozen or so laws in our city to do this.

Finally it was time for the big ceremony. We had it scheduled out to be a very classy event with several great music pieces including Clair de Lune and a few clarinet solos from Angie's bride's man (yes - bride's man, escorted by my groom's maid Jen). Of course, Angie walked down the aisle to Ode to Joy, making several people cry in the process.

To cut out the seriousness of it all, I tried to high five all my groom's men and groom's maid as they came in, but missed every single time. Of course, with enough laughs from all of our family and friends, the effect worked all the same.

After my very eager kiss, quite literally pulling Angie towards me, we left the church with a bubble exit. A car was waiting and I opened the back door for my bride to get in and sit next to me. What does she do? Opens the front door and gets in herself. I then got in the back seat and drove off with one of our attendants. My wife, everybody!

What we didn't tell anyone was that we had been taking dancing lessons for the three months prior to the wedding for our first dance. Immediately upon entering our reception hall, which was an amateur art gallery, we burst into Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight" with an impeccable foxtrot. At least, as perfect as two people who never danced before and only started practicing three months prior could be. With everyone's jaws on the floor, we knew the dance lessons worked perfectly.

The best part about having a wedding, we think, is having all of those we love share in the experience with us; which is exactly why we are sharing all these photos with you now. With an open bar, great food, tasty cake, a chocolate fountain, and a hundred family and friends, can you really go wrong?

So with that, the wedding that had so many twists and turns in the days leading up to the event ended up being an absolutely perfect day. But the horrors of that story is for another time, and on another blog. Less than 24 hours later we were on our incredible two-week long journey around Spain, from which many stories have been posted over the past few weeks and will continue in the coming months on this site.
We just wanted to say thanks to everyone for reading the site and getting to know us throughout the last four years. As our marriage is just beginning, so are the adventures we will go on that will all be documented on this site. Needless to say, we're just getting started! Want to come along for the ride?
All photos in this series were taken by our amazing photographer Lisa Rice. If you are getting married within a few hours driving of Columbus, Ohio (or further!), check her out and tell her Jeremy and Angie from Living the Dream sent you!
