We’ve been talking about it for a while now and no doubt you’ve seen the ad on the site, Save a Horse, Ride A Wish rolls into Greenfield‘s in Barrhaven tomorrow night.
Children’s Wish Foundation
Four amazing country artists are coming together for one night to raise money for a very important charity, The Children’s Wish Foundation.
So here’s the scoop, the event is being put on by Algonquin College Event Management students. It was started with a zero dollar budget with all funds raised going to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Children’s Wish is a national non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling a favourite wish for children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. The National Capital Region Chapter has been granting wishes since 1985. With more than 28 years of wish granting, the organization has granted more than $20,000 wishes for the children and their families all over Canada. Every day this wonderful organization grants three children their wishes and fulfills 1000 wishes annually. The Children Wish Foundation has partnered with the event management students of Algonquin College as the beneficiary of the students’ events that will raise money to help Children’s Wish. The Program has made it their goal to raise 1 million dollars and has already raised nearly $445, 000 dollars.
