When I saw for the first time the Sardinian sea I thought of being in a paradise. Its waters  was so clear that remembered me the best havens that the catalogs of travel agencies could  offer. Sardinia is  a land rich in traditions. If you decide to go in this region, you  can also attend to some nice party that will bring you closer to the traditional habits and customs .
I would suggest two events: July 6 Aglientu (OT) - near Santa Teresa di Gallura Gluttons from all over the world you  are welcome to the festival of dumplings of Gallura. The gnocchetti from Sardinians are a specialty internationally renowned and here you can try them topped with the typical sauce called  sauce pulpedda (the pulpedda is a part of the pig used to prepare the sausage-the Sardinian sausage is very famous and very tasty). This dish is accompanied by a red wine. Eat a lot because after the dinner, you can dance and digest the big plate of dumplings eaten. Tasty food, quality wine and the entertainment in the square. 13 Lulgio XII Palio of the donkeys Ollolai (Nu) In the agricultural history of Sardinia, the donkey has always been a very important animal and  this festival is dedicated to this animals with a real donkey  race. On the same day in the same place there are "Su Palu de sos vihinados" (the Palio of the Neighbourhood) and a medieval parade. Three events for a great fun in one place: a chance to celebrate three times! You can eat, dance, cheer for your favorite donkey and- as always-you will have a  lot of fun!
