Florence is an art city famous all over the world.

Duomo of Florence
Among the many sights to see you absolutely hev to visit the Duomo. The things to be said about this architectural are infinite: the suggestion is to visit it! I give you some information but there are so many things to say that only a good guide can help you - better than I do.
Santa Maria del Fiore is a work Gothic long153 meters and large 90 measuring from the floor at the opening of the lantern. Inside you can find the mortal remains of many artists, writers and scientists. You will find different architectural styles in this churc: this is due to the fact that the building period was long and then the different architectural styles influenced its construction.
One element to be admired is the dome by Brunelleschi built from 1418 to 1434. A major concern of Brunelleschi in this construction was to lighten the weight that the dome could have. Brunelleschi -who was a great architect - had understood that the dome had the ability to sustain itself throughout the building, without burdening on the rest of the church. His solution was to use a constant thickness throughout the structure and to ensure that it was made up of two separate caps, connected together by 24ribs between the interior and exterior (the angle ribs are thicker). An optimal solution would be to realize a circular dome but he was required to make an octagonal structure. Brunelleschi successfully passed the test.
The fresco decoration of Brunelleschi's dome was made between 1572 and 1579 by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari with the same iconographic theme of the Baptistery: the Last Judgement.

The interior of all the church is very simple Latin cross with three naves supported by arches and ribbed vaults with ribs.Whether you look at the top and at the bottom you are surrounded by wonders: the floors are made by colored marble. Beautiful to see! It seems impossible to find words to express the wonder that comes in front of art works made by some artist. We are so small, but some great artists have been able to produce works so beautiful that it is a satisfaction to admire the” beauty “ understood as the absolute concept - that even the Greeks indicated by the term Kalos. Personally, when I'm sad and I admire the art , I fell to surrounded by the beauty and I fell happy.

the name of Duomo is Santa Maria in Fiore
Firenze è un città d’arte famosa in tutto il mondo. Quando sono andata a visitarla ero affascinata da ogni angolo. Avete presente un museo ad aria aperta? Firenze è un gioiello di arte che racchiude molti tesori. Avevo già parlato di ponte vecchio-. Fra i tanti monumenti da vedere dovete assolutamente vistare il Duomo. Le cosa da dire su quest’opera architettonica sono infinite: il suggerimento è visitatelo! Io vi do qualche informazione ma le cose da dire sono veramente tante ed una buona guida potrà aiutarvi meglio di quanto faccia io. Santa Maria del Fiore è un’opera gotica lunga 153 metri, larga 90 alla crociera ed alta 90 metri dal pavimento all'apertura della lanterna. AL suo interno sono riunite le spoglie di molti artisti, letterati e scienziati. Troverete in questa struttura architettonica stili differenti: questo è dovuto al fatto che il periodo di realizzazione fu lungo e quindi i diversi stili architettonici ne influenzarono il completamento. Un elemento da ammirare è la cupola costruita dal Brunelleschi dal 1418 al 1434. Una delle maggiori preoccupazioni del Brunelleschi in fase di realizzazione della cupola fu di alleggerirla del peso che poteva avere. Brunelleschi, che era un grandissimo architetto aveva compreso che la cupola, come struttura architettonica aveva la capacità di auto sostenersi durante la costruzione non gravando il suo peso sul resto della struttura. La sua soluzione fu di usare uno spessore costante per tutta la struttura e far sì che fosse fatta da due calotte separate collegate tra loro da 24 costoloni fra gli interni ed esterni ( i costoloni angolari sono i più spessi). Una soluzione ottimale sarebbe stata poter realizzare una cupola circolare ma gli fu imposto di realizzare una struttura ottagonale. Brunelleschi superò brillantemente la prova. La decorazione ad affresco della cupola del Brunelleschi fu realizzata tra il 1572 ed il 1579 da Giorgio Vasari e Federico Zuccari, e presenta lo stesso tema iconografico del Battistero: il Giudizio Universale. L’interno è molto semplice a croce latina con tre navate sostenuti da arcate e volte ogivali a costoloni. Sia che si guardi in alto che in basso si è circondati da meraviglie: i pavimenti sono in marmo colorato. Bellissimi da vedere! Mi sembra impossibile trovare delle parole che possano esprimere lo stupore che si prova di fronte ad opere d’arte realizzate da alcuni artisti. Siamo così piccoli ma alcuni grandi artisti hanno saputo realizzare delle opere così belle che è una soddisfazione ammirare il bello inteso come concetto assoluto che anche i greci indicavano con il termine di Kalos. Personalmente quando sono triste e vedo l’arte sento di essere circondata dal bello e mi sento felice.
