Samsung announces the release of a new type of memory card: MicroSD UHS-1 with a capacity of 16 GB and presented as the first Ultra High Speed 1 Card.
Transfer rates as high as 80 MB/s. It is about four times faster than the average flow rate 20.5 MB/s of current MicroSD cards. This means that the Samsung UHS-1 will empty its 16 GB in 3 and half minutes instead of 13 minutes. For now, neither the price nor the date of marketing have been reported by Samsung.
