Samsung Galaxy Gear SmartWatch To Be Launched Next Week

In less than a week Samsung will officially launch Samsung Galaxy Gear, their first SmartWatch!

We are all anticipating the special event, which will take place on September 4, in Berlin, where Samsung will reveal some of their latest smart devices. One of the announced products that probably drew a great deal of attention is Galaxy Gear, a first smartwatch developed by Samsung. Recently, some leaked information appeared on the internet, explaining technical features and software of the smartwatch.

Apparently, Samsung Galaxy Gear will have a 2.5-inch screen and a battery that can provide a range equal to ten hours of use. Allegedly, the screen will be squared with a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels. The device will be powered by a dual-core processor, possibly Samsung Exynos 4212  and 1 GB of RAM. The storage options should range from 6 GB to 8 GB. In addition, Galaxy Gear would have speakers integrated directly into the buckle of the watch, and a 4-mega-pixel camera sensor able to capture not only photos, but also videos at 720 p. Naturally, Galaxy Gear will support Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and NFC in order to connect to a smartphone.

It seems that this smartwatch from Samsung will be an innovative solution in terms of  functionality. As for the leaked companion app for smartphones, this device will have some very interesting features. The app is called Gear Manager and it comes with some innovative tools, one of them is called “Find my watch”, possibly referring to pairing the smartwatch with your smartphone, as well as  to communicate and exchange data via Bluetooth.
