Sailing at the Summer Olympics - Live Streaming Video

Where will you be on Sunday, July 29? That's the date of the first sailing event in the 2012 Summer Olympics. It's never too early to mark your calendar! Sail events continue through August 11. With all the new technology since the last Games, we can expect a stunning show as well as greater watching convenience than in the past.

In the States, NBC holds the media rights for telecasting and online streaming of the Summer Games. NBC has announced that all 10 of the Olympic sailing events will be shown via live streaming online and apps for tablets and mobile devices. (Regular television broadcasts are not yet scheduled but will likely be less complete.) This streaming will be free for those who have most cable or satellite television subscriptions, but one will have to establish the account and set up a log-in in advance. See this NBC site for more information. It is as yet unclear whether/how those without a current cable/satellite subscription may be able to log in or find these events online elsewhere.
